Coraggio Long Ez – Chapter 20 – Winglets – Stock Winglets (Almost) & Why I sawzalled them off
This is the winglet with the com antenna installed. Notice the two legs of copper foil tape that are soldiered in the middle, one leg to the shield the other to the center conductor of the coax.
Inboard side of the left winglet glassed and peel plied.
Wing trimmed to accept the winglet.
Winglet roughly set into place using a wood stick and ladder to hold the winglet.
The winglet jigged into place, ready to start the four layups which structurally connect wing and winglet.
